Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy
Gail Kopin is an renowned Orofacial Myologist, Speaker and expert for Orofacial Myology Dysfunctions. Dr. Gail was trained and certified to evaluate and treat patients with a variety of oral and facial muscle dysfunctions and oral habits. Many Dentists/ENT’s, Orthodontists and Speech Pathologists have worked with Dr. Gail for years. She works with prolonged speech disorders, swallowing disorders, facial / neck and muscle pain, and thumb and finger sucking habits. She has worked within the dental field over 25 years, today is a retired dental hygienist yet keeps her license active. She became a Certified Orofacial Myologists through the IAOM International Association of Orofacial Myology 1989-93. An Orofacial Myologist usually has additional training in speech/language pathology, dental hygiene or other health related fields that the IAOM has determined to be within the scope of practice of Orofacial Myology.
