Far Infrared Therapy
Far infrared rays are invisible to the naked eye but are capable of penetrating deep into the body where they gently elevate the body’s surface temperature. This activates major bodily functions, increases metabolism and blood circulation. In fact, Far Infrared Therapy in the form of sweat inducement has been utilized by various cultures for hundreds of years including Chinese, Japanese and Finnish sauna and steam baths, as well as Native American sweat lodges. The idea is that the artificial elevation of body temperature results in improved health and relief from disease. Far Infrared Therapy stimulates the release of fat-soluble toxins, heavy metals and other toxic chemicals. Benefits include immune system enhancements, cardiovascular conditioning and pain relief to name a few.
Iridology
The basis for Iridology is examination of the changing patterns and markings in the iris, the colored part of the eye. Those markings and patterns contain information about other parts of the body. Through this examination, a naturopathic doctor can detect subtle signs of developing illness, signs of stress and toxin buildup. This is a preventative practice. If a health problem is detected at an early stage, then natural healthcare measures can be followed to prevent the disease from developing further.
