In my opinion, everyone must get involved starting with parents, grandparents, schools, and big food companies, all must begin to change behaviors in order to prevent this wide spread epidemic. In my opinion, our food in the U.S. is our main problem!
Most of our food is chemically altered, contain bad fats, are processed, and lack good whole nutrition. U.S. Children eat too many carbohydrates which lead to Type 2 diabetes, ADD, allergies, and obesity? Educating your children young is a must! Parents must change what their bringing to the dinner table. The schools and states must enforce healthier food changes. Educating children to eat and shop for more whole organic foods. U.S. chronic diseases in the U.S. are caused from our environment and food. In fact, I recommend watching the DVD Food, Inc. with your children. It is a must see! Also, pulling the plug on the TV and video games and begin with fun exercise such as dancing, hiking, swimming, and walking. Obtain a wellness screening with educated certified preventive doctor.
