Are You Feeling Unwell?
During these harder times, I have seen an increase of clients not feeling well. I am finding that ones thoughts and constant worries are leading to an imbalance to ones overall chemistry.
This leads to a release of higher cortisol levels, which are released during stressful situations. This can compromise ones immune system as well as change ones hormone balance. Over time this can lead to disease and a breakdown in the bodys overall health. Working 25 years in health care, I am seeing a higher rate of anxiety, TMJ- jaw pain, grinding of teeth, chronic fatigue, weight gain, nutritional mineral deficiencies, headaches, digestive problems, poor sleep, relationship difficulties, higher blood pressure, heart problems, and situational depression. Looking at root /cause, it is my professional opinion, we the public must begin to focus more on preventive care vs. sick care, work towards reversing diseases, and not just managing diseases. Each person should choose to focus on better health choices and look at changing ones lifestyles. How well are you? Is life getting you down?
Wellness is defined as: The condition of good physical, mental and emotional health, especially when maintained by an appropriate diet, exercise, and other lifestyle modifications. A naturopathic doctor would define wellness, when one is in balance mentally, emotionally, physically and spirituality. In my opinion, today it takes great effort to stay healthy. Health is a choice and one you should be involved in! If you ignore your health it will go away. It is fact, when you feel well you can do most anything!
Dr. Gails tip: If something is not working in your life, whatever it is, then it is time to CHANGE it now.
